Cookie Policy

This page explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on saklama.com. The short version: we set no mandatory cookies of our own; only the ads on guide pages and the Google Analytics traffic measurement may involve third-party cookies — and you can decline them.

We set no mandatory cookies

saklama.com does not place any cookies of its own to provide its services. We have no first-party cookies for sign-in, tracking or analytics.

The single exception is not even a cookie: your choice in the cookie banner (accept or decline) is stored in your device's local storage (localStorage) under the name sk_consent. This record stays in your browser only, is never sent to our servers, and cannot be used to identify you.

Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)

Google AdSense ads may be shown on guide pages. If you accept ads, Google and its advertising partners may use their own cookies to serve interest-based advertising. These cookies are set and managed by third parties; we have no access to their contents.

You can decline advertising cookies via the cookie banner shown on the page. If you decline, personalized advertising cookies are not used and you can keep using the site without any restriction. If you later want to change your choice, clearing the site data in your browser will make the cookie banner appear again.

Visitor statistics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic. Google's measurement library (gtag.js) is initialized on every page load, but it runs with a default consent state of "denied": unless you click "Accept" in the cookie banner, no persistent Google Analytics cookie (such as _ga) is set in your browser and no visit data that could identify you is sent to Google. If you decline or make no choice, only a standard network request reaches Google's own infrastructure (because the library file is downloaded) — the same as loading any external file from any website, and it contains no measurement data that identifies you. Only when you click "Accept" does Google set its own cookies in your browser to collect visit statistics and does full measurement become active. This data is processed by Google; see the Google Privacy Policy for details.

Secret Note and cookies

The Secret Note tool uses no cookies. Your note contents are end-to-end encrypted and are never tracked, via cookies or by any other means.

Clearing cookies in your browser

You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, or block them entirely:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → check "Cookies and other site data" and clear.
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → use the "Clear Data" button.
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → select and remove the relevant sites under "Manage Website Data".
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → use "Manage and delete cookies and site data".

Most browsers also offer an option to block third-party cookies by default.
