About

saklama.com is an independent platform built around two services: with Secret Note you can share sensitive information as end-to-end encrypted, one-time notes, and with the Saklama Rehberi (our Turkish-language storage guide) you can learn how to properly store just about anything, from food to documents.

What is Secret Note?

Secret Note is a self-destructing note sharing tool designed for safely passing along sensitive content such as passwords, access credentials, or a private message. Your note is encrypted with AES-GCM-256 before it ever leaves your browser; only encrypted (unreadable) data reaches our servers. Once a one-time note has been read, it is permanently deleted.

Our end-to-end encryption philosophy

We believe privacy should be a technical guarantee, not a promise. That's why we built the system on the principle that "the server must not be able to read the content":

  • Encryption and decryption happen entirely in your browser, on your own device.
  • The encryption key travels in the part of the link after the hash (#) sign; browsers never send this part to the server.
  • Our servers only ever store meaningless encrypted text. Even if we wanted to, we could not read your notes.
  • No account is required; we never ask for any identifying information.

What is the Saklama Rehberi?

The Saklama Rehberi is a Turkish-language library of articles that gives reliable, practical answers to the question "how should X be stored?" — covering food, medicine, documents, textiles and many more categories, with clear explanations of proper storage conditions, shelf life and common mistakes.

Independence and revenue model

saklama.com is an independent project. The platform's costs are covered by ads shown on the guide pages. The working principles of the Secret Note tool are never sacrificed to any revenue model; your note contents are never analyzed for any purpose — and by design, they cannot be.
